After The Bell Rings follows Mana and Sayaka, two young adults whose paths suddenly cross one night. Mana is a high school English teacher, while Sayaka is a free-spirited punk-rocker who wants to make Mana’s life more enjoyable. The game’s prototype demo was released for Yuri Jame 2015, but development was later placed on indefinite hold.

At the same time, Mana must help her students deal with problems of their own. Saki is deeply depressed and struggles to open up, while Yuri is constantly getting into trouble and cannot stop breaking school rules. Exploring conflicting perceptions of marginalized gender and sexuality groups, as well as the complications of romance, After The Bell Rings is a serious visual novel inspired by the struggles people face in everyday life.
