In a distant land, a brave young girl named Anna lives peacefully in the forest with her grandfather—until he is struck by a mysterious illness. Determined to save him, Anna sets out to find a cure, only to discover a world far more dangerous and bizarre than she expected. Her journey is abruptly cut short when the witch Winfriede kidnaps her for an experiment. Winfriede’s experiment succeeds: Anna develops telekinetic powers. But that success also unravels the witch’s plans. With the help of Ben—a boy who has been turned into a teddy bear—and powers she can barely control, Anna escapes her cell. Now on the run with Ben and her new ability, Anna is pulled into an adventure through a haunting world inspired by Grimm’s fairy tales and European folklore. Witches, ghosts, trolls, and cursed princesses all stand in her way—or need her help—as she continues her quest to find a cure for her grandfather. Winfriede gives her no respite, relentlessly pursuing Anna to reclaim her “successful” experiment at any cost.
