A pixelated, low-fidelity 90s throwback hyper-fast action shooter. Survive and fight through a city overrun by manufactured monstrosities, biomass horrors, and a military authority trying to purge everything living, with a heavy metal soundtrack.

Anomalous is set in Kosolov, a grim industrial city ruled by a highly controlled and secretive society. This industrialized nation is defined by overwhelming authority and devotion to its leaders, while citizens work themselves to death. A stark divide between the secretive upper society and the brainwashed working-class majority keeps this system in place. Shunned by the rest of the world, Kosolov's leaders have been free to accelerate unethical scientific experiments aimed at strengthening their tyrannical military and workforce. To create the ultimate controllable, mindless workforce, Kosolov devised a plan to revive the dead and send them back to work, taking advantage of the city's already high mortality rate. Scientists experimented with mechanical implants, regenerative biomass, and numerous other bizarre methods. The unforeseen consequences caused a catastrophic disaster, leaving you to battle your way out of the city. The current early access version of Anomalous contains the first episode, featuring 15 levels.
