Atari Anniversary Edition Redux

This collection celebrates the 30th anniversary of Atari by bringing 12 arcade classics to PlayStation systems. Included are Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, Battlezone, Black Widow, Centipede, Gravitar, Missile Command, Pong, Space Duel, Super Breakout, Tempest, and Warlords. The bundle also features a souvenir sticker, a video interview with Atari founder Nolan Bushnell, press releases from the original games, and images of game memorabilia. Atari Anniversary Edition Redux supports mouse and analog controls and is multi-tap compatible for up to four players. Beyond standard emulation, you can display cabinet art around each game screen to better recreate the feel of playing a stand-up arcade machine. Each game also includes a toggle for an “enhanced” graphics mode, which varies by title. For example, enhanced Asteroids adds a static backdrop, while enhanced Warlords is a full visual overhaul with new colors. Notably, the enhanced version of Tempest is Tempest Tubes, a 1982 modification of Tempest created by Duncan Brown.

Atari Anniversary Edition Redux is a commemorative collection of classic Atari arcade games, not a single connected storyline. The included titles place you in self-contained scenarios—space combat, defensive sieges, maze-like duels, and score-chasing challenges—that helped define early arcade action. Its goal is to preserve and revisit the original arcade experiences, with optional enhanced presentation.
