Aurora Nova

Aurora Nova is a roguelike deckbuilder with light RPG elements. Unlike fantasy games such as Slay the Spire, Roguebook, Banners of Ruin, and Across the Obelisk, Aurora Nova is a story-driven sci-fi journey set in the distant future.

You are a Ranokk, a member of an advanced species nearly wiped out millions of years ago by the Accretions. Over eons, the Ranokk recovered their technology and secretly rebuilt their population. After returning to the stars, the Ranokk thrived once again. Still wary of the genocidal Accretions, the Ranokk Core leadership has decided it is finally time to engage with the many species of the Galactic Union. You personally lead the military escort protecting Ranokk emissaries on their momentous journey to the seat of the Galactic Council. The Ranokk will hide no longer. However, an insidious force operates at the heart of the Galactic Union, pulling strings and moving pawns from near-complete secrecy. This force, known to the Galactic Union as the Ancients, knows of the Ranokk and intends to complete what it began when it heralded the Ranokk apocalypse millions of years ago.
