Storyline
During a journey, the human nobleman Kain is ambushed and killed by assassins. Mortanius offers him the chance for revenge, and Kain agrees without considering the cost—awakening as a vampire. After he kills his attackers, Mortanius tells him they were only the instruments of his death, not the true cause. Seeking the truth and a cure for his vampiric curse, Kain travels to the Pillars of Nosgoth....
