About
An early networking experiment between BBC Micro computers, Bolo is a top-down tank deathmatch game with a highly simplified physics model. Players move across 10 terrain types, shoot, lay mines, capture and deploy automated pillbox turrets, and use a lumber-collecting Little Green Man (LGM) to build speed-enhancing roads, sheltering walls, water-traversing boats, and bridges. The objective is to capture refueling bases and defend them against enemy human- or computer-controlled tanks.
Storyline
Bolo is a territorial tank conflict in which opposing forces compete to capture and defend refueling bases. Players reshape the battlefield with roads, walls, bridges, boats, mines, and automated pillboxes while fighting enemy tanks for control.
