Borderlands blends frantic first-person shooter combat with RPG progression and four-player co-op. With its huge arsenal of weapons and action-driven pacing, it delivers a distinctive “Role Playing Shooter (RPS)” experience that pushes against modern shooter conventions. You play a mercenary on Pandora, a lawless and desolate planet, searching for a legendary cache of alien technology known as The Vault. Play solo or drop in and out online with up to four players. The game is known for its “Bazillions of Guns,” its radical art style combining traditional rendering with hand-drawn textures, and intense vehicular combat.
