Creaks

The ground begins to shake, light bulbs break, and something unusual stirs behind the walls of your room. Armed only with wit and courage, descend into a world inhabited by avian folk and seemingly deadly furniture monsters.

The story begins in the bedroom of an unnamed protagonist. The light suddenly flickers out, and the wallpaper peels away to reveal a hidden tunnel behind the wall. After climbing down, he finds a vast mansion-like structure spread throughout an enormous underground cavern. In this strange world, aggressive monsters become harmless everyday objects whenever they are caught in the light. He also learns that a giant feline creature is slowly tearing the mansion apart. Descending deeper, the protagonist meets a community of gentle bird-like people, each responding differently to the threat: an elder seeking ancient knowledge, a fighter, a scientist, and a small pipe-headed mechanic repairing the damage. Their fates become connected as they work to stop the monster threatening their home.
