Days Gone

Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Released in April 2019 for PlayStation 4 and later for PC in May 2021, it’s set in a post-apocalyptic world where you play as Deacon St. John, a drifter and bounty hunter trying to survive in a land overrun by “Freakers,” zombie-like creatures created by a global pandemic. Gameplay blends exploration, combat, and survival, with a variety of weapons, crafting for supplies, and motorcycle upgrades that are essential for traveling across the vast, dangerous environment. The game combines narrative-driven missions with an open world full of dynamic events, enemy camps, and environmental challenges.

Deacon St. John, a former outlaw drifter, searches for purpose in a world shattered by a pandemic that has turned much of humanity into mindless, violent creatures known as Freakers. As survival demands hard choices, Deacon forges new alliances, confronts his past, and hunts for answers about Sarah’s fate—discovering harsh truths about resilience and loss in a world on the brink.
