Diablo III

Diablo III is the third game in Blizzard’s Diablo franchise. Like its predecessors, it’s a dungeon-crawling action RPG where you battle swarms of enemies—beasts, undead, and demons—across four acts. The game includes two modes (Normal and Hardcore) and four difficulty levels: Normal, Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno. A notable addition is the auction house, where items can be traded for in-game gold or real money, with real-money funds also usable toward Blizzard merchandise. Diablo III also features a broad set of achievements earned by meeting specific requirements.

Set in the dark fantasy world of the Diablo series, this story takes place twenty years after the events of Diablo II. Deckard Cain and his niece, Leah, investigate ancient texts in Tristram Cathedral tied to an ominous prophecy. Without warning, a mysterious star falls from the sky and strikes the Cathedral, blasting a deep crater—and Deckard Cain vanishes into it.
