Long ago, a dragon named Bolgrot arrived in the eternal Province of Amakna. Only the young Rykke Errel was brave enough to confront the fearsome creature. Instead of destroying him, the dragon bowed before the knight and swore loyalty. Months later, Rykke met Helsephine, a young enchantress, and fell deeply in love. When he introduced her to Bolgrot, he could not have predicted what would follow. In a sudden fury, the dragon killed Helsephine, then fled—laying waste to everything in its path. Rykke pursued Bolgrot to its cave, where the former friends clashed in a titanic battle. Using weapons and magic, Rykke brought the dragon down, but he was fatally wounded and died shortly afterward. Seeking an explanation for Bolgrot’s violent turn, the wise men of Amakna discovered six unusually colored eggs in the dragon’s entrails, later called the DOFUS. It was soon learned that when reunited, these eggs held absolute power—absolute, but unstable. The wise men chose to hide the dangerous relics from the world. Over the centuries, the secret of the DOFUS was guarded so well that it faded from memory. Then, on a cursed day, the guardians discovered the DOFUS had vanished. The news spread quickly, stirring fear and greed. Adventurers soon arrived in Amakna, drawn by the promise of glory or plunder. From that moment on, Amakna’s fate became uncertain, and the sudden appearance of countless terrifying, unknown creatures only deepened the chaos.
