Draugen

Draugen is a first-person psychological horror adventure set among the deep fjords and towering mountains of Norway’s dramatic west coast. It is a dark, disturbing journey into the pitch-black heart of Norwegian national romanticism, seen through the eyes of an American nature photographer, botanist, and entomologist.

Set in the early 1920s, Draugen pulls you into the deepest secrets of a remote fishing village where every resident has mysteriously vanished. As you explore the small settlement, you piece together clues and memories while uncovering the truth behind a terrible tragedy. Along the way, the village’s history and its inhabitants come into focus, revealing how even the most innocent-looking facade can hide malice. But this place is not what it seems. A woman dressed in black sometimes appears in the distance. Who is she, and how is she tied to the village? Who is the little girl singing broken lullabies as the sky darkens? And when night falls and your lamp burns its last precious drops of kerosene, what waits out there—in the darkness and in the cold, black sea?
