Dreaming Mary

Dreaming Mary is an original side-scrolling adventure game created with the free RPG Maker VX Ace Lite. Inspired by the Japanese horror game Ib and the abstract game Yume Nikki, it also draws influence from the indie platformer Eversion and the TV show Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. Although it includes horror elements, Dreaming Mary is not strictly a horror game; players who choose to indulge in dreams rather than investigate may never encounter them. Reaching one of the game's four endings takes an average of 15 to 25 minutes. Interact with items and NPCs, and pay close attention to dialogue and your surroundings to progress. Sound is essential, helping players move forward and providing clues about Mary's situation.

Mary is a girl who loves to dream, often spending entire days lost in her imagination. One day, she falls asleep and enters a nostalgic place unlike any of her previous dreams. Everyone there knows Mary and treats her like an old friend, inviting her to play or help with their tasks. After completing their requests, Mary is invited to venture deeper into the dream.
