Become the hero you want to be in an immersive open-world action RPG where every choice shapes your journey, reputation is everything, and fairytale endings are never guaranteed.

Fable begins in Albion, where the player character discovers heroic powers as a child. Following a time jump, players take control of the adult hero in the home village of Briar Hill. When a stranger turns the hero's grandmother and the entire village to stone, the hero leaves to investigate the mysterious event. Players can freely explore Albion's map, from southern villages to northern regions. Major locations include the capital city of Bowerstone, home to Fairfax Castle and the Heroes' Guild, which serves as an early point of interest in the story. The world is presented as a fairy-tale setting rather than a traditional fantasy game. This version of Fable does not continue the storylines of earlier games, although it retains elements of the original lore and the concept of Albion. Player choices influence relationships with non-player characters, story outcomes, and the world's response to the hero.
