About
FluxWerks combines large-scale factory logistics with a procedural voxel world where every block can be mined, moved, or built upon. Players begin with a swarm of nanobots that harvest terrain and 3D-print structures, then create a production chain that grows from hand-fed smelters to automated science and computing.
The world is a simulation that the factory interacts with, not merely a backdrop. Water and lava flow through a shared simulation and react when they meet. Heat spreads block by block through terrain and machines, making factory placement and construction important. Weather also affects production: wind speed determines wind turbine output, while machines caught in a blizzard wear down faster.
There is no combat or pressure to rush. Pollution has consequences, however: alien growth develops around heavily polluting factories and must be cut back, encouraging cleaner production. This system is forgiving and can be disabled entirely for a more relaxed factory-building experience.
Storyline
FluxWerks is a factory-building game set in a procedural voxel world shaped by mining, construction, and automation. Begin with terrain-harvesting nanobots, build production chains, and manage a living simulation of heat, water, lava, weather, and pollution-driven alien growth.
