Foundation is a medieval city-building game focused on the organic growth of historic cities. Powered by Polymorph Games' proprietary Hurricane engine, it supports full modding and is optimized for the thousands of moving parts involved in building enormous cities. The game combines in-depth resource management inspired by the Anno (Dawn of Discovery) series with classic city-building elements from Settlers, SimCity, and Pharaoh. Narrative encounters inspired by Crusader Kings II complete its medieval ant-farm simulation. Develop untapped land into a sprawling kingdom while appeasing the region's different factions. Foundation also features an original soundtrack by veteran composers known for music in Paradox Interactive games including Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV.
