A lost Chihuahua and a kind town police officer form an unlikely detective duo as they race through the city. At a small police box near the crossroads in front of Marihamadai Station, Officer Otonari receives a lost puppy while working his shift. The dog is a Chihuahua named Chappie, according to its collar. While searching for Chappie's owner, Officer Otonari interviews people outside the station and learns that someone who appeared to be the owner entered the Marihama Grand Hotel. Knowing where to look brings them closer to the answer. The man and dog begin their investigation in the hotel lobby, but when a guest rushes in with a pale face, they become caught up in further incidents.
