Games 1

Games 1 is a collection of six games and programs. In Orbit, you control a ship orbiting a star: the farther away you are, the slower you circle. A piece of cargo orbits the same star, and you must move inward and outward to adjust your speed and catch it. Sniper challenges you to press the number key from 1 to 0 corresponding to the position where a man appears on screen. Meteors has you steer a craft left or right at the top of the screen through an upward-moving meteor storm. Life is a program devised by J. H. Conway in 1970, where you place cells on a 16 x 16 grid and watch the pattern develop. Three adjacent cells produce a cell; cells with two or three neighbors survive; and cells with one or more than three neighbors die. Wolfpack has you control a ship at the top of the screen and drop a single depth charge to hit a submarine moving from right to left below. A submarine escapes when it reaches the edge of the screen. Golf requires you to hit a ball into a hole at a random distance by selecting a range from 35 to 75.

Games 1 is a collection of six games and programs that blends arcade action, sports, strategy, and simulation. Players catch orbiting cargo, react as a sniper, steer through meteors, deploy depth charges against submarines, play golf, and experiment with Conway's Game of Life.
