Ghostpia Season One

Ghostpia is a visual novel with cute, picture-book-inspired visuals enhanced by glitches, noise, and nostalgic artistic expressions. This game is a more expressive and interactive reimagining of the Ghostpia visual novel, which was previously released on the App Store and web platforms.

Isolated from the world by snow, a barren town stands near the farthest station. At night, its streets fill with ghosts. But we are not really ghosts. We are immortal. Unable to die and living endlessly, we began referring to ourselves that way. They say this is an ideal town, a true utopia for ghosts. “But is it really? Can you really call this place a utopia?” This is Sayako's story and her struggle. Sayako is the only person in town who does not truly belong. She shares a room with Yoru, the mysterious new girl in town, while longing more than anything to return to her hometown. Sayako dreams of traveling beyond the unfathomably vast desert of snow, past the point where nobody has ever gone, to the home she can only imagine exists. She wants to remember what she has forgotten: the thing she holds most dear. That is her dream. “In a hopeless town such as this, a useless girl like me can't help but dream.”
