Gothic 1 Start your journey with the first Gothic game, the entry that established the series’ lore-rich world and its many rival factions. In Gothic (Universe Edition), you’re trapped inside an open-world mining colony sealed by a magical barrier. The King of Myrtana forces criminals to mine ore to prepare for the coming war between humans and orcs. As prisoners seize control and split into opposing groups, you must choose a side and fight for freedom. Gothic II: Gold Edition You destroyed the magic barrier and escaped the Mine Valley—but the consequences spread beyond it. Former prisoners now roam the land, causing chaos outside the capital of Khorinis, while the King’s militia can’t keep order. It’s up to you to restore peace to the kingdom.
