Gran Turismo

Gran Turismo is a racing game designed by Kazunori Yamauchi and the first entry in the acclaimed Gran Turismo simulator racing series. After five years in development, it earned strong public and critical reception and shipped 10.85 million copies worldwide as of March 2013, making it the best-selling PlayStation game. The game features two main modes: Arcade Mode and Gran Turismo Mode. In Arcade Mode, players freely choose cars and courses, and winning unlocks additional vehicles and tracks. Gran Turismo Mode focuses on progression, requiring driver’s licenses to enter events and awarding credits, trophies, and prize cars for winning championships. Gran Turismo includes 140 cars and 11 race tracks, along with reversed versions of those tracks.
