About
Half-Life: Uplink is a demo version of Valve's 1998 first-person shooter, Half-Life. Uplink features many enemies, characters, and weapons from the full game, but unlike the first Half-Life demo and the Half-Life 2 demo, its location and scenario do not appear in Half-Life. The Uplink chapters were cut during Half-Life's development and roughly fit before or during the Lambda Core chapter, though they were heavily revised for the demo release. Uplink also includes the same Hazard Course found in the full version of Half-Life. It was included on Official PlayStation Magazine Disc 57 as a bonus unlock when players entered a cheat in the PS2 version of Half-Life and swapped discs.
Storyline
Half-Life: Uplink is a standalone scenario connected to Half-Life's Black Mesa crisis. In this cut-and-revised chapter, players battle hostile forces and creatures while navigating a facility sequence set around the game's Lambda Core period.
