Last Word

In a society where having the last word means holding power over others, a small party is interrupted by a gentleman who politely gives orders through a one-way intercom.

Photographer Whitty Gawship attends a prestigious gathering at the residence of Professor Chet Chatters. The guests are veteran conversationalists, each attempting to gain subtle power over the others. The atmosphere changes when Whitty and the group discover that the professor can claim the "Last Word" in every conversation through his miraculous invention. Dastardly! What are the professor's motives, and why has he invited a commoner?
