Two children, Low, a boy wearing a raven mask, and Alone, a girl in a green jumpsuit and aviator hat, become lost in the Spiral, a cluster of eerie, oversized lands. Together, they travel through a series of nightmarish locations: a desert Necropolis watched over by a colossal doll, a sprawling Candy Factory, a sinister traveling Carnevale, and a decaying, overgrown Institute. Each realm is stalked by grotesque, towering monsters. Armed with Low's bow and Alone's wrench, the pair must solve the dangers they encounter, stay one step ahead of the horrors pursuing them, and search for a way out of the Spiral.
