Marvel's Midnight Suns

Marvel's Midnight Suns is a tactical role-playing game developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games. Set in the Marvel Universe, it blends strategy, role-playing, and card-based combat. Players control The Hunter, a customizable original character, and lead a team of Marvel superheroes against the demonic forces of Lilith, the Mother of Demons. Lilith has been resurrected by the nefarious Hydra organization. Combat is strategic and turn-based, using decks of ability cards for attacks, skills, and buffs. Between missions, players explore the Abbey hub, interact with other heroes, upgrade abilities, and make choices that affect the story and character relationships.

Hydra scientist Doctor Faustus resurrects Lilith, intending to use her to help Hydra conquer the world. Six months later, the "Midnight Sun" approaches Earth, destabilizing magic and signaling the return of Lilith's master, Chthon. Doctor Strange, Tony Stark, and Carol Danvers try to recover a page of the Darkhold from Johnny Blaze, but they are forced to retreat to the Abbey, recruit the Midnight Suns, and resurrect the Hunter, Lilith's child and killer. Lilith enthrals Venom to help abduct Wanda Maximoff and destroy Strange's mystic shield. Joined by Spider-Man, the heroes capture Faustus to learn Lilith's plans, but Hydra operative Crossbones kills him before he can provide answers. Lilith later enthrals Bruce Banner and Wanda, using a gamma accelerator to empower them. The heroes rescue Wanda, banish Sabretooth, and destroy the Parchment, but Lilith unleashes the demonic Hulk and summons demons across the world. When the heroes confront Lilith, she reveals her plan to destroy Chthon but inadvertently lets him possess the Hunter. The Hunter expels Chthon, while Lilith sacrifices herself to destroy the Darkhold and regain her human form. Lilith, the Hunter, and Chthon's realm are consumed by the Darkhold, leaving the heroes to believe they remain alive. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom takes the Darkhold for himself, dismissing its previous users as "amateurs."
