Mass Effect: Andromeda

A new adventure begins in the Mass Effect universe as you travel beyond the Milky Way to the Andromeda galaxy. Commander Shepard’s story may be over, but Mass Effect: Andromeda introduces a new cast, new quests, and high-stakes decisions with lasting consequences. As the Pathfinder—a leader of a squad of military-trained explorers—you fight for humanity’s next home in hostile territory where you are the aliens. With deep progression and customization, you’ll explore alien worlds, face dangerous enemies and creatures, and uncover the mysteries of Andromeda, with your choices ultimately shaping humanity’s survival.

Mass Effect: Andromeda begins around 2185, when the Andromeda Initiative launches an ambitious plan to settle the Andromeda galaxy aboard massive ships known as arks. A coalition of Milky Way races—humans, asari, turians, salarians, and krogan—joins the 600-year expedition, placed in cryostasis so they won’t age during the journey. Before departure, the Initiative identifies “golden worlds” in Andromeda’s Heleus cluster, locations judged highly viable for habitation. Each ark is guided by a Pathfinder, tasked with exploring and determining whether these worlds—or any other promising sites—are truly hospitable before settlement can begin.
