Metal Slug X is an upgraded version of Metal Slug 2 (Metal Slug 2: Super Vehicle-001/I), originally released in March 1999 for the Neo Geo MVS. It fixes slowdown issues from the original game, increases difficulty, and introduces new elements to the game system.
Storyline
Metal Slug X sends the Peregrine Falcon Squad back into the Metal Slug universe to stop a renewed military threat across chaotic battlefields. As an upgraded version of Metal Slug 2, it keeps the series’ signature run-and-gun rescue missions and explosive set pieces, while introducing new gameplay elements and a faster, tougher pace.
