Micro Mages

Enter the Demon Fortress, a place built to torture troublesome adventurers and filled with both great treasure and ghastly creatures. Fortunately, allies such as Fairies and Magical Seagulls are ready to help. Micro Mages is an homage to NES-era platformers. As a homebrew NES game, it was created completely from scratch. The game carefully distills the spirit of the best titles in the system's library while drawing inspiration from modern games and adding its own distinctive ideas, creating an experience unlike any other on the NES.

Once upon a time, four mages and their beloved Princess lived together in harmony in a small cottage deep within a dark forest. The mages were students at the renowned Hocus-Pocus Academy of Applied Magicks. To keep the Princess safe while they attended their studies, they installed a giant lock on the front door. One day, the blue mage forgot to lock the door. When everyone returned home after a long day, their Princess was gone. A fairy brought terrible news: “Strange things are happening in the old Demon Fortress atop Pretzel Mountain!” The four mages did not hesitate. After chanting a teleportation spell they had just learned at the Academy, they set off for the Demon Fortress...
