About
A legendary game series returns with an all-new adventure. Monster Boy is a colorful side-scrolling action-adventure game created in cooperation with Ryuichi Nishizawa, the creator of the Wonder Boy Monster World series, a trademark of SEGA Corporation Japan.
Monster Boy brings back the appeal of classic games built around simplicity, exciting gameplay, upbeat music, and smooth graphics. Overcome huge bosses, find hidden passages, discover powerful equipment, and use your wits and skills to break a powerful curse. Monster Boy can transform into five different creatures, each with unique skills and abilities. Use their powers to open new paths and progress through an epic story. Monster Boy is a love letter to gaming from the 1980s and 1990s.
Storyline
Jin discovers that his Uncle Nabu is using magic to spread chaos throughout the kingdom, transforming everyone, including Jin's brother Zeke, into animals. While trying to stop Nabu, Jin is turned into a pig himself. The king's court magician, Mysticat, tells Jin that five animal orbs can restore everyone to normal, sending him on a quest across the kingdom to recover them. However, after Jin gathers the orbs, Mysticat takes them and uses them to open a gateway to the Dark Realm for his master, Lord Xaros, who has been manipulating Nabu to serve his plans. In the Dark Realm, Jin confronts Xaros and, with help from his friends and the spirits of past Wonder Boys, defeats him and restores the kingdom to normal.
