Oddworld: Soulstorm

Oddworld: Soulstorm is a modern reimagining of the 1998 game Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus and a direct sequel to Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty. Players control Abe, a reluctant hero who accidentally sparked an uprising and must now lead his fellow Mudokons in their fight for freedom against the Magog Cartel and the planet's ruling power.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is set on the fictional planet Oddworld, on the continent of Mudos. Mudos is home to various sapient races and many merely sentient ones. The Glukkons control the continent's industry and exploit the Mudokons as disposable slave labor. Soulstorm continues directly after the events of New 'n' Tasty. Abe has rescued 300 fellow Mudokons from a conspiracy that planned to use their species' own meat to preserve Rupture Farms' declining profits. Although Abe and his followers expected to live in peaceful freedom, his role as leader of the first successful uprising sets in motion events aimed at freeing the entire Mudokon species from the chemically enforced shackles that bind them.
