About
Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, commonly known as Ouendan, is a rhythm video game developed by iNiS and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS in 2005. It was released exclusively in Japan. Ouendan follows a cheer squad that rhythmically encourages troubled people, with each story presented in the style of a manga comic. During each stage, use the Nintendo DS touchscreen to tap marked spots in time with various Japanese pop songs. Accurate timing earns points, while poor performance can end the stage prematurely. Although Ouendan was never released in Western markets, it became a popular import and inspired the Westernized spiritual sequel Elite Beat Agents, as well as the direct Japanese sequel Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2.
