About
Create your own pet companion in Pet Society. Design pets by choosing their gender, name, colors, and appearance. Wash, brush, pet, and feed them, then send them to visit friends' pets for eating, playing, and sports activities.
Storyline
In Pet Society, players' pets could interact through the friend network. Pets could visit the pets owned by a player's friends and take part in activities such as washing, grooming, and feeding. A pet could visit other pets as often as desired each day. Players received coins and Paw Points for their first daily visit to each friend,[6] while later visits awarded Paw Points only. Coins could also be earned through the Daily Lottery, visiting friends, winning awards, cleaning or playing with pets, winning hurdle races, and betting on hurdle race outcomes. Visiting friends, purchasing items, and using the stadium awarded Paw Points.
Paw Points functioned similarly to XP or EXP in other social games. Earning enough Paw Points caused a pet to level up. Each level-up awarded coins, new features, and special statuses. At Pet Society's initial release, the game had 34 levels. In 2009, 13 additional levels were added after houses were expanded to support 10 rooms, raising the total to 47. In August 2010, Pet Society increased its level cap to 100.
Certain items could only be purchased after reaching a required level.
