About
Like its predecessors, this game is a third-person shooter in which players control the Plants or Zombies in cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. It features 20 customizable gameplay classes, including six new to the franchise, divided into attackers, defenders, and support. Each side also has a team-play class that allows players using the same class to combine forms while fighting enemies.
Players can compete in multiplayer modes such as the objective-based Turf War and the team deathmatch variant Team Vanquish. Several player-versus-environment open zones allow players to explore, find collectibles, and complete quests. Split-screen local multiplayer is available in all gameplay modes.
Storyline
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville takes place after the events of Garden Warfare 2. The plants presumably won the battle for Zomburbia and trapped all zombies inside a "Smell Jar." With the plants once again in control of Suburbia, humans no longer had to worry about their brains being eaten, until the zombies escaped. Now, the Plants and Zombies battle once more.
