P.T.

P.T. (Playable Teaser) is a first-person interactive teaser directed by Hideo Kojima and developed by Kojima Productions under the alias "7780s Studios." This psychological survival horror experience pairs a simple premise with an anxiety-inducing environment. Players investigate the gruesome history surrounding a house and solve puzzles to reach the ending, where a cutscene reveals the official teaser trailer for Silent Hills. P.T. is widely regarded as a game in its own right due to its engaging, cryptic design and significant replay value. Following the cancellation of Silent Hills, it is no longer available for download.

P.T. follows an unnamed protagonist who awakens in a concrete-lined room and opens a door into a haunted corridor. He can only walk through a hallway that continuously loops and changes its appearance. Radio news broadcasts describe two families slaughtered by their respective fathers. Much of P.T.'s story is conveyed through environmental clues and radio broadcasts, while some details remain open to player interpretation and speculation. As paranormal activity intensifies, a manifestation of a murdered family's mother appears, the corridor becomes endless, and the lights glow red. More mysterious radio messages emerge. After solving the final puzzle, the protagonist appears in Silent Hill, seemingly unaware of his location. He looks over his shoulder and continues into the town.
