In 13th-century Russia, a vast realm larger than any other European country, internal conflicts divided the state even as it held firm against constant external threats. Then the infamous Mongol Horde struck without warning, cutting through the land like a blazing arrow. The people fought back with courage under the leadership of a fierce warrior and prince: Prince Alexander Nevsky.
