Remorses is a slow-building, heart-aching atmospheric journey where tension gradually intensifies. Set in 1991 in Rivervalley, Lakota Territory, the story unfolds in a place infamous for its history and recent missing-person cases. Rumors of witchcraft have begun to spread, although Rivervalley has long been associated with false legends. Play as Jake Lepistow, an investigator from Beaver Hills, Minnesota, who has pursued legends and supernatural occurrences without ever facing consequences. When reports of strange disappearances and hints of witchcraft reach him, he begins his next investigation: an alleged abandoned Westbrook's Inheritance Mansion hidden somewhere in the Rivervalley forest. The townspeople avoid the mansion, terrified by its reputation and rumors of a vengeful witch.
