Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is a survival horror game and the third entry in the Resident Evil series. Like the two games before it, it blends third-person action-adventure gameplay with polygonal characters, pre-rendered backgrounds, and cinematic fixed camera angles. While it uses the same underlying engine and fundamentals as its predecessors, it refines play with additions such as auto-targeting, a 180-degree quick turn, and a new dodge move that lets Jill evade enemy attacks. The PC and Dreamcast versions include all eight of Jill’s possible costumes, along with the mercenary mini-game Operation Mad Jackal, which lets you play as one of three Umbrella soldiers. On the PlayStation version, these special features must be unlocked by finishing the game with a high score.

On September 28, 1998—24 hours before the events of Resident Evil 2—former Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) member Jill Valentine tries to escape Raccoon City. Most of the population has been turned into zombies by an outbreak of the T-virus, a new biological weapon secretly developed by the pharmaceutical company Umbrella. The story expands on the locations and events of the T-virus outbreak in Raccoon City and ends with the fate of the city and its infected population.
