Resident Evil Zero

Resident Evil Zero is a third-person survival horror game and a prequel to the original Resident Evil. Its gameplay largely follows earlier series entries while introducing the partner zapping system, which lets players switch between Rebecca and Billy at any time. Both characters must work together to solve certain puzzles. The game also adds terrifying enemies such as the mutant centipede, new areas to explore, and the ability to drop items on the ground instead of relying on an item box.

On July 23, 1998, the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team is dispatched to investigate a series of grisly murders in the Arklay Mountains outside Raccoon City. En route, the team's helicopter malfunctions and crash-lands in the forest. The officers discover an overturned military police transport truck and the mutilated bodies of two officers. After the team splits up, field medic Rebecca Chambers finds a train stopped in the forest. She soon discovers that the Ecliptic Express is infested with zombies.
