You crash-land on an alien ocean planet, and the only way forward is down. In Subnautica, the seas stretch from sun-drenched shallow coral reefs to perilous deep-sea trenches, lava fields, and bioluminescent underwater rivers. Manage your oxygen supply as you explore kelp forests, plateaus, reefs, and twisting cave systems. The water is full of life—some of it helpful, much of it dangerous. After hitting the surface in your Life Pod, time is short: you must find water and food and build the equipment needed to explore. Gather resources from the surrounding ocean. Craft diving gear, lights, habitat modules, and submersibles. Dive deeper and travel farther to uncover rarer materials, enabling you to craft more advanced items.
