About
Summerland is a first-person narrative game about morality and the afterlife. Play as Matthew, a detective reliving events from his past while facing questions about his morals. Each door leads to another memory, and every memory unlocks another door.
Storyline
In every door lies another memory, and every memory unlocks another door.
A flash of white leaves you in an unfamiliar place. A locked door confines you to a small, empty room, except for a table in the center of the floor. On it sits a completely unplugged rotary phone. The plain walls and carpet are unsettling, and the camera in the corner only adds to the discomfort. After a few moments, the unbearable silence is broken by the phone's ringing. There is nothing left to do but answer the call.
Summerland is a first-person narrative game developed by high school student Conner Rush. Players take the role of Matthew, an ill detective reliving the events of his recent past while being questioned about his moral stances. Centered on ethical philosophy and the afterlife, Summerland offers a distinctive narrative gameplay experience.
