About

A girl searches for something she has lost... Tamayura Mirai is a midsummer fantasy visual novel about humans, spirits, and sorcerers. It has won several industry awards in Japan.

Storyline

A girl is searching for something she lost. In the town of Fukano, the air carries an otherworldly scent. Long ago, humans lived alongside spirits and other supernatural beings known as youkai on this enchanted land. Even now, Fukano is filled with strange tales, mystical entities, and mysterious forces. Yukina Kamikake returns to Fukano with a friend in tow. There, she meets a boy who calls himself a sorcerer: me. My name is Mutsuki Yohane. I inherited the bloodline of sorcerers who came to Fukano from far away long ago, but I am far from the only notable person in town. Midari Suishouseki is not human. She suffers from the worst affliction a succubus can face: love. Hanako Nekotengu was once a servant of a higher water spirit. Now she is an urban legend at the local school, where she knows every piece of gossip. Shiro Kohaku is always on my side. She knows nothing about magic or monsters, but she is like an older sister to me. A sorcerer's duty is to understand the unexplainable incidents caused by non-human creatures and help them live in harmony with their human neighbors. However, Yukina Kamikake possesses more magic than I do and was born with the ability to see the spirit world. She is searching for something she lost, and my time dealing with her will lead me back to the incident that first drew me into all of this. It is both a short summer and a long one: a fairytale of humans, spirits, and sorcerers.
