It is summer in the idyllic northern English village of Stanning. Beth, a successful twenty-something, is poised to become CEO of the biggest company in the valley. She is close to settling down and perhaps having a couple of children. Life seems straightforward, but something is missing. Many years earlier, Beth found an earring while metal detecting on a local farm. It brought her brief fame and a modest sum of cash for a pre-teen, but most importantly, it made her feel special. She never found the matching earring. Now, the old farm is just one week away from demolition, as an energy company plans to turn it into a solar farm. Beth sees this as her final chance to rekindle her childhood sense of adventure. There is too much ground to cover alone, so despite her friends' warnings, she devises a plan to bring Adam back into her life. Beth's search for the long-lost earring will uncover far more than she expected.
