The Space Between

The Space Between by Christoph Frey is a surreal, short narrative experience told in three acts about the walls we build for ourselves.

Architect Martin Melanson, commissioned to build a theater, meets a woman named Clara outside his apartment complex at night. Drawn to one another, they visit the theater's construction site. As they explore the unfinished stage amid scaffolds and their own thoughts, reality gradually fades. The curtain opens on a dark play about closeness and separation. With its drawn-out, static pacing and blurred PS1-style visuals, the game uses surreal dialogue and a dreamlike plot to create a 40- to 50-minute experience intended to be played in one sitting.
