The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

In The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, you play as Paul Prospero, an occult detective who receives a disturbing letter from Ethan Carter and realizes the boy is in grave danger. When Paul arrives in Ethan’s home of Red Creek Valley, he discovers the situation is even worse than he feared. Ethan has vanished in the aftermath of a brutal murder, and Paul begins to suspect there may be more than one killing to investigate. Using both conventional and supernatural detective skills, Paul must uncover what happened and track down the missing boy.

In 1973, paranormal investigator Paul Prospero receives a fan letter from 12-year-old Ethan Carter and travels to Ethan’s hometown of Red Creek Valley, Wisconsin. When he arrives, Paul learns Ethan has vanished and begins to encounter disturbing paranormal activity—along with signs of recent violence in the small mining village.
