Transport Tycoon

Released for PC in 1994, Transport Tycoon was developed by Chris Sawyer and coded in x86 Assembly language. It was among the first games in the then-new tycoon genre, a style of business empire simulation in which players found, grow, and fully manage an enterprise. In Transport Tycoon, players run a transport empire from 1930 to 2030, using rail, road, sea, and air transportation to expand their business. New technologies become available at historically accurate times, allowing players to see how technological advances change the way their transport businesses operate.
