Turbo Kid

Turbo Kid is a BMX-powered, pixel-art Metroidvania gore-fest based on the film of the same name.

Turbo Kid is a gory homage to classic 1990s Metroidvanias. Based on the cult post-apocalyptic film of the same name, the game bridges the story between the first film and its sequel, which is currently in development. Inspired by Metroidvania and run-and-gun platformer classics such as Super Metroid, Mega Man X, and Out of the World, Turbo Kid combines modern mechanics and storytelling techniques. Travel through five distinct zones in any order, meeting friends and foes along the way. Defeat every boss to reach the other side of the wasteland. Narrative elements are included but remain non-invasive: simply avoid interacting with them to skip them. This approach makes Turbo Kid highly replayable and speedrun-friendly.
