About

Two Worlds II is a fantasy role-playing game that continues the story of the first Two Worlds. Aziraal, the ancient Orc god of war, is said to possess immense power. When Aziraal's tomb was opened at the end of the first game, those powers transferred to the hero's sister. Now the dark lord Gandohar has captured both the hero and his sister, determined to claim Aziraal's power by draining it from her. The hero's prison escape serves as the tutorial before he enters the world of Antaloor. Antaloor is a large world of deserts, forests, swamps, seashores, cities, rural areas, hidden caves, and dungeons. Players encounter monsters ranging from killer insects to huge beasts, along with humanoid enemies from various races. Enemy levels do not scale to the player, so some battles must be avoided until the hero gains abilities. The game offers enough quests to occupy players for about 100 hours. In single-player, the hero is male only. His specialty as a warrior, ranger, or mage can be changed at will by swapping equipment, while success in each role depends on how earned skill points are assigned. Two Worlds II improves on the first game with a new user interface, game engine, and magic and crafting systems. It retains gameplay elements from Two Worlds I, including horseback riding, crafting, forging, and alchemy. Sailing, which was planned but never released for the first game, is available in a few locations. Feats and skills enhance each combat style. Spells can be combined through card modifiers to alter or strengthen their effects. Expanded crafting and forging systems allow weapons and armor to be improved in different ways, while inventory objects can be broken down into base materials such as cloth, wood, and iron. The game also includes five multiplayer modes for up to eight players: Crystal Capture, PvP, Dual, Adventure with seven chapters, and Village mode. Multiplayer uses newly created characters, with several race choices and both male and female options.

Storyline

After the downfall of Aziraal, the God of Fire, the Dark Lord Gandohar has nearly achieved his goal of disrupting the balance between the elements. Dark magic surges across the land to fill the void. Recognizing the potential to gain complete control over these dark powers, Gandohar begins using the power of Aziraal trapped within Kyra, a descendant of the Orphans. Despite her ancestry, Kyra cannot withstand the strain. With Antaloor already under his control, Gandohar devises a new plan from his stronghold in Oswaroth. Some still resist the tyrant, hoping to shift the balance of power in their favor. The fight for Antaloor continues. Five years have passed since dramatic events brought the entire world to the brink of the abyss. The hero is imprisoned in the dungeons of Gandohar's castle, and his hope of saving his sister disappeared along with his freedom. Just as despair threatens to consume him, help arrives from the last place he expected. The Orcs, a race he has always hated, assemble a rescue squad and free him from his bonds. He emerges into a land desecrated by evil and begins a journey to uncover Gandohar's dark past, hoping to find a weakness in his enemy's defenses. If he fails, he will lose his sister forever.
