About

A 400-year-old clue found in Sir Francis Drake’s coffin sends modern fortune hunter Nathan Drake on a globe-trotting adventure to uncover the fabled treasure of El Dorado—and leads him to a forgotten island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The hunt turns deadly when Drake is stranded and pursued by mercenaries. Outnumbered and outgunned, he and his companions must fight to survive while uncovering the island’s terrible secrets.

Storyline

Treasure hunter Nathan “Nate” Drake (Nolan North), joined by reporter Elena Fisher (Emily Rose), recovers the coffin of his self-proclaimed ancestor Sir Francis Drake. He found it using coordinates inscribed on a family heirloom—a ring he wears on a cord around his neck. Inside the coffin is Sir Francis Drake’s diary, which points to the location of El Dorado. Pirates attack and destroy Nate’s boat, but his friend and mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Richard McGonagle) rescues Nate and Elena in his seaplane. Worried Elena’s reporting will draw rivals, Nate and Sully leave her at a dock. Following the diary’s clues, Nate and Sully reach the marked location and discover an alcove that once held a massive statue. They realize El Dorado isn’t a city, but a golden idol. They also find a Nazi U-boat containing a diary page revealing the statue was taken to an island. Before they can act, mercenaries led by criminal Gabriel Roman (Simon Templeman) and lieutenant Atoq Navarro (Robin Atkin Downes) intercept them. Sully is seemingly killed by a chest shot, but Nate escapes, reunites with Elena, and flies with her toward the island. Anti-aircraft fire forces them to bail out, separating them. After scavenging supplies from the wrecked seaplane, Nate heads to an old fort to find Elena. Elena is briefly captured by pirates led by Nate’s old associate Eddy Raja (James Sie), but she frees Nate and they flee to the island’s old customs house. Records there show the statue was moved farther inland. They then discover Sully is alive and traveling with Roman and Raja. Nate and Elena rescue him, and Sully explains he survived because Drake’s diary stopped the bullet. He says he played along to buy Nate time by feeding Roman false information.
