About
Untrusted is an online multiplayer hacking and social deduction game for 10 to 16 players. Currently in development, it is inspired by the Werewolf and Mafia genres and similar games.
In Untrusted, hackers from the fictional NETSEC group must hack a specific server on a computer network. NETSEC members must use their skills and wits to outsmart undercover AGENTs, who attempt each night to make arrests or turn other players into snitches.
The game ends when NETSEC gains root access to the target node, or when all AGENTs or NETSEC members have been eliminated.
Role-playing, deception, and deduction are central to the experience. The game currently features 19 playable classes and more than 50 unique skills.
Storyline
In Untrusted, hackers from the fictional NETSEC group must hack a specific server on a computer network. NETSEC members must use their skills and wits to outsmart undercover AGENTs, who will attempt each night to arrest players or turn them into snitches.
NETSEC's strength lies in its numbers, while the AGENT faction relies on its intelligence. You must lie, investigate your fellow hackers, identify the undercover AGENTs, and eventually eliminate them.
The AGENTs are playing against the clock: each day, NETSEC moves closer to controlling its target. Arrest NETSEC members or strike deals with them, coercing them into working for you.
The game's day-and-night cycle allows both factions, along with neutral classes pursuing their own objectives, to use the key abilities essential to their success.
